The goal of advising is to provide students information to take full advantage of all the resources of the University (including course selection, declaring a major and general academic questions). Your Association Dean is a key source of help.

To facilitate academic advising, every student is placed in an “Association.” Your Association Dean’s primary responsibility is to advise you on academic matters and refer you to the various agencies and offices the University has established to assist you.

Walk-In Advising with the “Dean of the Day”

Beginning with the first day of classes "Dean of the Day" (walk-in advising) hours will be from 2:30-4:00 each day in Monroe Hall.

Graduating in August?

If you plan to graduate in August 2013 from the College of Arts & Sciences, it is time to apply for graduation using the Student Information System (SIS).  No other paper work is necessary; you simply need to log-in to your student account and click “Applied” for the 1136 (Summer/August) semester. The deadline to apply on SIS is July 1, 2013. If you are not enrolling in any courses on grounds in the summer but still plan to graduate either with transfer credit or finishing up incomplete grades, please inform the College Registrar, Judy Updike, so she can post a degree fee for you on the system and enter a degree enrollment status for you. Again, the deadline to inform her of this is July 1, 2013.
